Kia Carnival is a van produced by Korean car company Kia since 1998. After more than 20 years of development, the 4th generation Kia Carnival with code-name KA4 was launched globally in 2020.

The 1st generation Kia Carnival with code-named KV-II was launched in September 1998. In addition to the name Carnival, it has other names in different countries. For example, it is also called Kia Sedona in some countries, and in Malaysia, it is also called Naza Ria.

On July 8, 2004, the Kia Carnival, which was improved on the basis of South Korea's Kia Carniva and produced by the joint venture company Dongfeng Yueda Kia, was launched in Beijing. Its competing vehicle in China is the Buick GL8.

In the diecast car model market, the 1/18 scale 1st generation 2004 Kia Carnival model is available for collectors. Here is product link: Kia Carnival Minivan Diecast Model 1:18 Scale

Three different colors including white, blue and gray are available to meet different collectors’ needs, and like most 1/18 scale diecast models, all car doors, hood and trunk can be opened and closed. Meanwhile, interior details can be clearly seen. However, as a diecast model produced nearly 20 years ago, its painting condition is not as perfect as the new produced diecast car models.

In 2005, the 2nd generation Kia Carnival was launched. Compared with the former generation Carnival, there were two versions including long wheelbase and standard wheelbase.

In 2014, the 3rd generation Kia Carnival was launched in many countries such as the United States, Saudi Arabia, Australia and India. Neither the 2nd generation nor the 3rd generation Kia Carnival was produced in China, therefore it is difficult to find relevant diecast models.

In 2020, the 4th generation Kia Carnival based on the latest production platform was released. Unlike the previous generations of Kia Carnival, it uses the global unified name Carnival, and the previous names such as Kia Sedona and Hyundai Entourage have become history. On September 13, 2021, the 4th generation Kia Carnival, the flagship model of Dongfeng Yueda Kia, was officially launched in China. Soon after, diecast models of the 4th generation Kia Carnival appeared on the market, including 1/18 scale models and 1/38 scale models.

Two different colors including white and blue are available, it is scarce in the diecast model market as the production quantity of this new released Carnival diecast model is very low, and the price is more expensive than the 1st generation Carnival diecast model. Of course, as a newly produced model, its workmanship and painting condition are very good, with the delicate original packaging, it is suitable for Kia car owners or Kia diecast model collectors as gift.
