Hyundai i30 is a small family car launched by Korean car company Hyundai since 2006. In the beginning, it was also called as Hyundai Elantra Touring, because it was a touring model based on the 5th generation Hyundai Elantra. There are only two body styles including 5-door hatchback and 5-door estate in 1st generation Hyundai i30, with the release of the 2nd and 3rd generation Hyundai i30, more body styles such as 3-door hatchback and 5-door liftback were launched.

In 2006, the 1st generation Hyundai i30 with codename FD was launched. In 2009, the Hyundai i30 produced by the joint venture Beijing Hyundai was released in China. However, due to the bad sales status, Hyundai i30 in China was discontinued shortly thereafter.

On the hood of the signature version, there are words of 7th Anniversary of Beijing Hyundai established and the signatures of Beijing Hyundai CEO and the Hyundai Korea CEO at that time. Two colors including blue and red are available to meet different buyers’ needs, however, as a diecast model produced more than 10 years ago, it is increasingly difficult to be found on the market, and the price is also much higher than before.

In 2011, the 2nd generation Hyundai i30 with codename GD was launched. In the North American market, it was also called as Hyundai Elantra GT. However, it has not appeared in the Chinese market since this generation.

In 2016, the 3rd generation Hyundai I30 which was equipped with the latest Hyundai design language was launched, and its code is PD.
